Die 1994 gegründete Stiftung vergibt jährlich Fördermittel für Projekte jüdischer Künstlerinnen und Wissenschaftlerinnen, die in Deutschland leben und arbeiten. Sie fördert in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen wie Film, Literatur (z.B. Romane, Gedichtsammlungen, Sachbücher, Biographien), Tanz und Theater, bildende Kunst, Wissenschaft (z.B. Forschungsvorhaben, universitäre Abschlussarbeiten).
